Liverpool star enjoy the quality that rookie Ryan Gravenberch brings to training

Gravenberch arrived from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day, and in the few sessions he has spent at the AXA Training Centre since then, he has impressed his teammates.

The 21-year-old could now make his Reds debut on Saturday lunchtime when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League after their return from the break.

When asked by Liverpoolfc.com how Gravenberch has adjusted, Jota responded, “I believe excellent.

The Dutch players, who are now three, are obviously two of his closest buddies, and they can support one another.

“Obviously, I haven’t seen him in person and have only worked with him for a few sessions, but you can already tell what a terrific person he is and how quick he is.

“I believe he will be another who can assist us moving forward.”

The Liverpool team, led by Gravenberch, travels to Molineux with the intention of building on the season’s promising start.

Jürgen Klopp’s team opened the season with a draw at Chelsea, but they have since won their next three games while putting on strong displays and overcoming numerous obstacles.

Jota provided the following assessment of the current campaign: “It wasn’t perfect, we didn’t win all the games, but I think we must be happy because we changed a lot, we changed our tactics and we still got 10 out of 12 [points], and we had games with difficult circumstances with the red card.

So, I believe it’s a good beginning, and maybe we can continue.

Jota enters the game with his old team on the strength of a tremendous performance for Portugal on Monday night.

The forward led a 9-0 victory over Luxembourg in a Euro 2024 qualifying match, scoring twice and providing an assist.

“Always nice to score and getting back to Portugal and scoring,” he remarked. Naturally, I didn’t participate in the World Cup, so it was satisfying.

As you used to say, “Back to the Premier League now, change the ship, and go again.”
