Due to what transpired on the floor against Nikola Jokic during the 2021 season, Markieff Morris still harbors resentment.

Morris was a member of the Miami team at the time, which was playing Denver at home.

Jokic had the ball and was dribbling across the court when the forward attempted to halt play and commit a foul.

He collided with the large man’s ribs when he raced into Jokic.

Jokic obviously didn’t like that because as Morris moved away from the foul, Jokic aggressively approached him and shoved him in the back, sending Morris to the ground.

Morris missed a lot of time away from the court as a result of the shove, and he won’t soon forget it.

The forward, who is now playing for Dallas, has pledged that Jokic would receive justice.

“Catching me off guard, “Morris told Matt Barnes on Showtime’s All The Smoke podcast. “But you know, at the time, I was a little off. It was more so with the Miami Heat, they was just trying to protect me from, you know, against me from myself. But I was cleared to play like two weeks after that, they just held me out. It really wasn’t one of those things where I was injured or in pain or anything like that…

“It was a sucker shot. But he gonna get his though. Don’t trip.”

Due to the shove, the Serbian superstar was benched for one game.

Jokic earned back-to-back MVP titles in that season and the next season in 2022.

Added to that, when he won the 2023 NBA Finals MVP trophy, he completed his own unique type of three-peat.

The big guy may occasionally become fiery if you rub him the wrong way, despite the fact that he doesn’t have much of a history of hitting other players.

Just ask Suns owner Mat Ishbia, who recently got into a fight with Jokic.
