Footage of Kepa Arrizabalaga working out with Real Madrid has surfaced, and it’s not good

During the summer transfer window, the 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper agreed to join Madrid on a one-season loan from Chelsea.

Thibault Courtois, Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, suffered an ACL injury during practice, leading to the signing of Kepa.

Recently, video of Kepa working out with Los Blancos has surfaced. The video is available to view below.

Kepa was in goal when his teammates Rodrygo and David Alaba took free kicks, as seen on camera.

The Spanish international, nevertheless, was unable to even approach any of the tries.

Kepa has made two appearances in La Liga thus far in the 23/24 season, keeping one clean sheet and only allowing one goal to be conceded.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea signed fellow Spaniard Robert Sanchez from Brighton and Hove Albion to serve as the team’s new starting goalkeeper.

In his first interview after moving to Madrid, Kepa said the following: “First and foremost, I feel thrilled and honored to belong to Real Madrid, a club with so much history. Everything took place rather rapidly.

“I’m delighted to be here, getting to know the facilities, my teammates. I can’t wait to get started as soon as possible.”

He added: “Real Madrid and the Champions League are footballing history. I hope that by working together we can add further to this club’s legendary status and win even more.

“It’s striking to see the 14 all lined up. If you want to leave your mark at Real Madrid, you have to win things. All the history this club has is based around winning.

“I always say I wouldn’t like to define myself, I’d rather have other people do that. I try and bring a sense of security to the team, to the defence, to be a sensible goalkeeper and help the team at all times.”

Madrid are back in La Liga action on Sunday as they take on Real Sociedad.
