Contrary to all predictions, the strongest person in Liverpool is not midfielder Virgil van Dijk.
In a recent interview when asked who was the strongest person in Liverpool, rookie Alexis Mac Allister had an answer that surprised everyone, when the name mentioned was not Virgil van Dijk.
With a giant body, Liverpool’s No. 1 midfielder seems to have unbeatable strength, but the former Brighton star doesn’t think so. Allister believes that Van Dijk cannot even make it into the top 2 in his eyes.
Specifically, Mac Allister told Goal as follows: “I would say it’s Mohamed Salah or Kostas Tsimikas.”
The interviewer was very surprised that a player who is only 1m75 tall is at the top of the Red Brigade’s strongest list. The 2022 World Cup champion continued to explain: “Oh, yes. He works out at the gym every day so he’s very healthy.”
Even though we were surprised, if we watched what the Egyptian superstar performed on the field, we could understand a bit. Many times Salah has used his speed, agility, and strength to overcome tall and muscular defenders in the Premier League. The Liverpool striker has always been the top goalscorer and a great fear for every defense in the Premier League for many years.
The second case mentioned is left back Tsimikas. Although he did not win a starting position in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, that does not mean that the Greek player does not have strength.
Liverpool is showing a strong comeback season, and Mohamed Salah is still an extremely important factor in the German coach’s team. There have been many times when the Red Brigade has been behind, even in a position with few people, but somehow they still overcome difficulties and come back to class.
After the first 5 rounds in the Premier League, Liverpool remained unbeaten with 4 wins and 1 draw, thereby ranking 3rd and only 2 points behind Man City’s first place in the table.
