Antetokounmpo was compared to Olajuwon in the interview since they both wear the number 34 jersey and are of Nigerian heritage.
Antetokounmpo was born in Greece to Nigerian parents, whilst Olajuwon was born in Lagos but migrated overseas.
Despite their Nigerian roots, Antetokoumpo plays for Greece, while Olajuwon, who was born in Lagos, chose to play for the United States.
Giannis, who just visited Nigeria with his mother, remarked that Olajuwon was an inspiration to him.
