Honduras has a tropical climate that is steady, with scorching beaches and cooler mountains. Temperatures vary little throughout the year, ranging from 27 to 32°C. The most important thing to remember is to avoid strong rains during the wet season.
Travel to Honduras between December and April for the driest weather, though you may encounter an occasional shower. Peak travel months are December, January, and February, when the beaches and islands off the coast have a livelier holiday mood.
You can also avoid the throng by visiting during the rainy season, which runs from August to October. Expect short, monsoon-style bursts of rain in the afternoons, but bear in mind that Honduras is located in the Caribbean hurricane belt, so stay up to speed on weather updates.

November is an excellent time to visit because the rainy season begins to lighten off just before peak season. This is a fantastic time to travel if you don’ mind a little rain.
Semana Santa (Easter Holy Week) occurs in March/April and is marked by a colorful festival throughout the country. Domestic tourism increases at this period, especially in the Bay Islands.
From May through September is the greatest season to see whale sharks off the Caribbean coast.
