French newspaper L’Equipe recently released a video clip featuring a short conversation between Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, and Kylian Mbappe while they were together in a car heading to a match with the French national team in June 2021. From the conversation, it is evident that Mbappe had previously turned down a move to Newcastle because he was afraid of the cold.

Griezmann turned to Mbappe and the 24-year-old forward asked in surprise, “What? Which team?”. Griezmann emphasized, “Newcastle. It’s Newcastle!” And the PSG striker immediately responded, “Oh no, never Newcastle. It’s too cold there.”
