Liverpool eye Mohamed Salah replacement in ‘club-record deal’ for dynamic winger

Liverpool have chosen Leroy Sane of Bayern Munich as the ideal superstar signing to replace Mohamed Salah, and are willing to break their transfer record to get him in.

With Salah poised to leave Anfield next summer due to strong interest from Saudi Arabia, manager Jurgen Klopp has identified former Manchester City winger Sane as his top target to fill Salah’s gap.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool is willing to pay more than £80 million to sign Sane. The Reds could break the club record of £85 million spent on Darwin Nunez in 2022. Klopp is thought to be keen on bringing the 27-year-old back to the Premier League in a mega-deal from Bayern Munich.

Liverpool is interested in signing Leroy Sane as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Leroy Sane has scored six goals in seven games for the German champions this season. Liverpool, on the other hand, hopes to entice Bayern into selling by submitting a massive bid for a player the German giants purchased for £55 million in 2020.

The departure of Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League will fund the transfer, with the Reds expecting more massive proposals from Saudi Arabia after rejecting a £150 million bid in the summer.

Allowing their top attacker to leave will be a blow, but bringing in a superstar replacement like Sane will cushion the damage.

The thought of reuniting with Jurgen Klopp and returning to England may pique the pacey wideman’s interest.

Liverpool is preparing for a future without Salah.

However, Liverpool is up against Real Madrid, who are also keeping an eye on Sane’s position in Bavaria.

For the time being, Salah remains devoted to Liverpool’s cause, having recently scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season. A lucrative shift to the Middle East is projected in 2024.
