Man Utd fans beg ‘bring him back’ after Wout Weghorst scored a magnificent solo goal for Holland from the halfway line

WOUT WEGHORST produced a fantastic goal for Holland, demonstrating what Manchester United is missing.

The striker led his country’s attack against the Republic of Ireland Friday night, as the Dutch won 1-0.

It secured Ronald Koeman’s side a place at Euro 2024.

Following a pass forward by Stefan de Vrij, Weghorst received the ball near the halfway line.

He was being pressed by Nathan Collins, but the 31-year-old used his muscle to repel the centre-back.

Weghorst let the ball run past him before breaking into a gallop past the Irish defense.Weghorst had a goal drought for the Red Devils, scoring just two in 26 games.

None of his United goals came in the Premier League.

The club chose not to make the loan agreement permanent, leaving fans puzzled by the brilliance of his goal for Holland.

One said: “Where was this when he was at Old Trafford?”
