Social media users for Manchester United claim to have seen what a very irritated Marcus Rashford whispered to Sergio Reguilon following his substitution against Newcastle.
Eddie Howe’s team defeated the Red Devils at St. James’ Park, taking the three points away from their top four opponents thanks to a goal from Anthony Gordon in the first half.
Man United has not lost a game since Newcastle eliminated them from the Carabao Cup the previous month.
When Rashford was substituted for Antony in the 61st minute of the game, there was evident frustration on his face.
Following a brief exchange between the Man United winger and his teammate Reguilon that was captured by the Sky Sports cameras, fans have taken to X.

Marcus Rashford was unable to make an impact as Man United fell to defeat on Saturday
As Rashford went to take his place on the bench, he turned to the loanee and with disappointment on his face muttered a sentence to him.
While it is unclear as to what was said, fans have already began analysing the clip and are trying their best to decipher the message.
One fan asked: ‘Did Rashford just say ‘What am I doing here?’
However, this was quickly shut down by other supporters who stated ‘I don’t think you know how to lip read very well’ and ‘I’m pretty sure he didn’t say that’.
Another fan suggested that Rashford was questioning his defence, as they believe he said: ‘What the are we doing near our goal bro?’
But one X user suggested that Rashford was simply ‘repeating what someone in the crowd said’.
However, not everyone was joining in with the lip reading analysis as one fan fumed: ‘Have we got to the lip-reading stage on football twitter now???’
While some of the Red Devils’ supporters continued to discuss what may or may not have been said, other fans took to X to joke about the situation.
‘How’m I going to drive home later in the snow?’, one suggested in jest.
A jubilant West Ham fan, fresh off their win over Bačka Topola, continued: ‘Nope! I’m a professional lip reader and his exact words are “West Ham are MASSIVE everywhere they go”. IRONS!!!!!’
It’s unclear exactly what Rashford said, but one thing is for sure: Man United needs to start winning again if they want to stay ahead of their competitors in the European Cup.
The underperforming Chelsea team will be their next opponent.
