There is a great possibility that Liverpool will get midfielder Andre Trindade next January after confirmation from Fluminense Club president Bittencort.
Liverpool has been pursuing the 22-year-old midfielder for more than a month but could not reach an agreement to recruit him during the summer transfer window. However, it is possible that Fluminense will agree to release people to the market early next year.
“There is an agreement between us, Liverpool, Andre, and his agent that Andre will stay until the end of this year,” Bittencort shared. “All parties will comply with this agreement. All contact with players must go through Fluminense.”
“In Liverpool’s case, things have progressed further. Liverpool’s CEO contacted me directly and I responded: “I will not sell players at this time and will not negotiate. If you want to buy, come back in January and we can start talking, or December at the earliest.”
Andre Trindade has made significant progress over the past few years. At the age of 22, this midfielder has played 150 matches for Fluminese and scored 3 goals. Trindade also just made his debut for the Brazilian national team this year.
Trindade is considered by Liverpool to be the perfect replacement for Thiago. The former Barca and Bayern midfielder’s contract will expire in the summer of 2024 and he will almost certainly leave.
