Klopp expressed his dissatisfaction with questions about Mohamed Salah’s future amidst Saudi interest

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains unconcerned about the potential renewed interest from Saudi Arabia in Mohamed Salah when the January transfer window opens.

Salah was the subject of a £150 million bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad before the Premier League transfer deadline on September 1, which Liverpool rejected. However, the Saudi Pro League director of football, Michael Emenalo, has suggested that the door is still open for a future move for Salah.

While Klopp is determined to keep Salah at Liverpool, there have been rumors of a potential £200 million bid from Al-Ittihad in January as the Saudi league aims to secure another high-profile signing to join the likes of Neymar, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante. Klopp had hoped that the speculation surrounding Salah’s future would be put to rest after the closing of the Saudi transfer window on September 7. Salah has performed well on the pitch, scoring two goals and providing two assists this season, seemingly unaffected by the rumors.

When asked about the possibility of more approaches for Salah in the new year, Klopp reacted with frustration, stating, “You are kidding me. A week after we close the transfer window, you ask about the January transfer window? Obviously, you can’t wait until December to ask these questions. We will see what happens. Until then, I’m not worried in this moment. I didn’t even think about it until you opened that wound again. No, I’m not worried.”
