Mbappe advises Dortmund coach to substitute former Man United midfielder in the UCL match

During PSG’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund, Kylian Mbappe caused a sensation when he instructed the visiting manager Edin Terzic to switch out Marcel Sabitzer.

Mbappe, who is still being linked with a move to Real Madrid, scored the game’s first goal with a contentious penalty against the Bundesliga team, and Achraf Hakimi, a former favorite of Dortmund, sealed the victory with a magnificent second strike.

It was a strong start for PSG in the Champions League, especially considering that the other group game between AC Milan and Newcastle had ended in a scoreless tie earlier.

But aside from the goals, the first-period injury to Sabitzer led to a humorous exchange between Mbappe and Terzic.

When the Dortmund manager saw the striker approaching, he gave the signal that the former Manchester United midfielder needed to be substituted.

“Change your player,” Mbappe commanded the Dortmund head coach.

“Come coach in my place if you want,” Terzic retorted.

As the game went on, the two of them chuckled. Ultimately, Sabitzer needed to be replaced by Felix Nmecha.

Dortmund’s night turned out to be expensive as they not only lost the game but also lost Marius Wolf to an injury in the second half.

Sabitzer at Dortmund

Sabitzer left Bayern Munich for Dortmund in the summer for a cost of €19 million after Manchester United decided against making his loan arrangement at Old Trafford permanent.

The international from Austria had played 18 times for Man Utd in the second half of the previous year, but he was conspicuously absent as a four-match winning streak at the close of the campaign confirmed their position in the Champions League.

He contributed to a Premier League assist and scored one goal against Fulham in the FA Cup while playing for Erik ten Hag.

Injury plagued him during his tenure at Manchester United, and it appears that his poor luck has followed him to Dortmund.
