Former captain Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson enjoy sweet moment with a young Liverpool supporter

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard had a happy experience with a young Saudi fan.

Gerrard, who agreed to become Al Ettifaq’s manager in the summer, became one of several renowned names to join to the Saudi Professional League.

Gerrard is starting his first job since being fired by Premier League club Aston Villa in October 2022.

Gerrard shared a happy experience with a little fan who was visiting the club’s facilities this week. The video is embedded below.

Roman Dean, a young Liverpool fan, was visibly moved as he hugged the former Liverpool captain.

“Unless you want to come and meet them right now?” You’re not interested in meeting me; you’re interested in meeting the players.”

Pictures of Roman meeting Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum were later posted on Al Ettifaq’s social media account.

Michelle, Roman’s mother, also commented on Al Ettifaq’s post.

“This is my son, he’s out there visiting his father, who now lives in Bahrain,” she added. For him, it was a dream come true. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.”

Roman, according to Michelle, aspires to be a professional player and is a huge Liverpool fan.

Gerrard and Al Ettifaq have had a good start to the season, sitting fourth in the Saudi Professional League league after collecting 16 points from their first seven games.

Al Ettifaq will return to action in the King’s Cup on Sunday when they face Jeddah.
