Naby Keita

Keita was constantly injured on Merseyside after joining Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2018. He hardly made any impact in 5 years with The Kop despite making the club spend up to 52,000 euros. 75 million pounds.

After being liquidated in the summer, Keita returned to the Bundesliga and joined Werder Bremen on a free transfer. But the 28-year-old has suffered another injury problem in pre-season and has only made two substitute appearances for his new club.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain left England in the summer of 2023 to play in Turkey for Besiktas and is a star in Super Lig.

James Milner

Milner left Liverpool after eight glorious years at the club. He joined Brighton when his contract at Liverpool expired and quickly integrated into Roberto De Zerbi’s squad. The 37-year-old played in The Seagulls’ first five matches in the 2023/24 Premier League but missed the last two matches due to injury.

Roberto Firmino

After experiencing a disappointing 2022-23 season, Firmino rejected Liverpool’s offer to sign a new contract and had an emotional farewell to Anfield. He then completed a free transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, to become a teammate of Edouard Mendy, Roger Ibanez, Merih Demiral, Gabri Veiga, Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin. The Brazilian international was given the captain’s armband and had a dream debut, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Al-Hazem. But since then, Firmino has gone seven matches without scoring a goal.

Fabinho

Once considered the best defensive midfielder in the world, Fabinho is only a shadow of himself in the difficult 2022/23 season. Liverpool decided to sell him to reigning Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad in a deal worth £42 million. The 29-year-old has established himself as a key player in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, playing the full 90 minutes in nine of their opening 10 matches this season.

Jordan Henderson

Henderson also left Merseyside to move to Saudi Arabia to play for Al-Ettifaq, a team coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. The midfielder is paid a salary of up to £700,000 per week, is the team captain and has had 5 assists in his first 9 appearances in all competitions.

Jack Bearne

One of four Liverpool academy graduates on this list, Bearne made his first and only appearance for the club in a 5-0 loss to Aston Villa in the League Cup.

Bearne was released by Liverpool and signed a two-year contract with Scottish Championship club Greenock Morton. The 22-year-old winger provided an assist on his league debut, but has only started two matches in all competitions.

Leighton Clarkson

Clarkson also made his debut against Villa in 2019, and also participated in the FA Cup and Champions League. The midfielder joined Aberdeen on a permanent deal in the summer and has made 13 appearances in all competitions in the 2023/24 season.

Layton Stewart

After recovering from an anterior cruciate injury, Stewart made his Liverpool debut against Derby County in the League Cup in November 2022. But that was his only appearance for his boyhood club. He joined Preston North End for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old striker has only appeared as a substitute twice this season.

Max Woltman 

Woltman made two appearances for the Liverpool first team in the 2021-22 season. This 19-year-old striker joined Oxford United for an undisclosed fee and has not yet appeared in League One.
