Cavallin claims that the 23-year-old physically assaulted her on many occasions throughout their time together in Manchester and in their native Brazil.
Antony, who fiercely disputes Cavallin’s charges, was placed on an indefinite leave of absence by United in September.
However, United have welcomed him back as ‘police investigations’ into his behavior continue.
Antony has featured both in the Premier League and Champions League since his reinstatement with Erik ten Hag stating the Brazilian has ‘cooperated fully’ and was ‘not charged’.
‘Of course, our minds were with him, and of course, the claims,’ United manager Jose Mourinho later remarked.
‘We took it extremely seriously, but we took a leave of absence to deal with it, and he was very cooperative with the police in both Brazil and Manchester.’
It has now been reported that Souza, who was assisting Antony’s ex-girlfriend Cavallin in the UK, has pulled aside from the case, citing ‘personal reasons’ in a statement to Brazilian news outlet Metropoles.
Meanwhile, Cavallin has stated that she spoke with Greater Manchester Police on Thursday and will be ‘back soon’ for additional negotiations.
‘I did go to the police station, I just went at a different time,’ she said. ‘I just went at a different time than announced, for safety reasons, to avoid harassment at the door, as I’m alone here. And I’ll be back soon for another conversation.’
