Liverpool may be forced to play Everton next week without key player Andy Robertson.

In Scotland’s 2-0 loss to Spain on Thursday night, the left-back was seen leaving the field with a shoulder injury.

Robertson has been a constant in Liverpool’s defense since his £8 million signing from Hull City in 2017.

Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, the 29-year-old has been crucial in getting forward and delivering assists to the Reds’ attackers.

Robertson, who has made eight Premier League starts this season, faces a period on the sidelines and might miss the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

The ‘terrific’ defender was spotted cradling his arm in his jersey just before halftime after colliding with Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon. Robertson was then replaced by Everton’s Nathan Patterson.

There has yet to be confirmation of Robertson’s injury, although it is suspected that he has dislocated his shoulder. According to a football injury analyst on X (@physioscout), he might be out for 2-4 weeks if surgery is not required, and up to four months if it is.
