Another individual claimed that Palmer was not kidding when he approached the Man City players, but rather wanted to eavesdrop in order to figure out how to deal with it. “Palmer just tried to eavesdrop on Man City’s conversation, but Haaland pushed him away,” a member of the public wrote.

Palmer himself kicked a penalty two minutes before Foden was fouled to tie the game at 4-4 for Chelsea. Previously, in the 23rd minute, the 21-year-old player was shown a yellow card for stepping on the penalty spot just before Haaland took the penalty kick.

Palmer grew up at Manchester City’s academy. He appeared in 41 games for Man City’s first squad, scoring six goals. He opted to join Chelsea for 50 million USD in the summer of 2023 in order to play more. Palmer scored four goals in 11 games for his new team.

The game then devolved into a chase. Manuel Akanji equalized in minute 45+1, and Haaland cushioned the ball to give Man City a 3-2 lead. 47th minute. Nicolas Jackson scored on a rebound in minute 67 to tie the game at 3-3. Man City appeared to be on the verge of winning three points when Rodri’s long-range strike altered direction in the 86th minute to make the score 4-3. Palmer, however, equalized with a penalty in the 90+5 minute.

Man City leads the Premier League with 28 points after 12 games, but it is only one point ahead of the two teams in second and third place, Liverpool and Arsenal.
