PLAYER RATING: Garnacho Inspires Man Utd Win, Rashford Ends Drought, and Mainoo Shines

Alejandro Garnacho, an emerging talent from Manchester United, showcased his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo by emulating his hero with a sensational bicycle kιck goal. The remarkable strike propelled Manchester United to a resounding 3-0 victory over Everton. Despite the fervor among the home fans due to a 10-point deduction from the Premier League, Garnacho’s audacious goal not only invoked memories of Wayne Rooney’s iconic 2011 goal against Manchester City but also mirrored Ronaldo’s scissor kιck goal against Juventus in 2018. His incredible effort helped calm the hоstile atmosphere at Everton’s stadium.

Although Everton mounted relentless pressure on United, the visitors weathered the storm and emerged triumphant with their most emphatic league victory of the season. Marcus Rashford, who ended a goal drought of almost three months, converted a penalty to contribute to the scoreline, while Anthony Martial continued his consistent form by finding the back of the net against Everton.

Rashford-Garnacho-Man-Utd-Mainoo

Alejandro Garnacho (8/10):

His goal of the season contender suckeԀ the venom out of the Goodison bear pit. Had some nice link ups with Rashford and almost slid in a second goal.

Anthony Martial (7/10):

After a relatively quiet first half, he emerged as the key player in the second half, making two crucial contributions. He found the back of the net for the ninth time against Everton, a team that seems to be his favorite opponent.

Marcus Rashford (6/10):

Did not play well and created few moments to remember. But the important thing is that his long goal drought is over. Hopefully his confidence will grow as a result.

Andre Onana (7/10):

Made three saves from Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the first half alone and a fine tip over the bar from Idrissa Gueye. Looking much more impressive lately after his shaky start.

Diogo Dalot (7/10):

Delivered the cross for Garnacho. Looked daring without being erratic.

Victor Lindelof (6/10):

Looked like United’s weak link in defence and targeted by Everton but came out unscathed.

Harry Maguire Manchester United 2023-24

Harry Maguire (8/10):

A commanding performance and the latest confirmation that he is back to his best.

Luke Shaw (8/10):

A superb return after three months out. His experience and class shone through.

Kobbie Mainoo (9/10):

A sensational Premier League debut. Calm, confident and highly skillful. Imagine how different the season could be had he not got injured in July.

Kobbie Mainoo Manchester United 2023-24

Bruno Fernandes (6/10):

A flat performance from the captain overall although he did play a couple of useful through balls, one of which led to the penalty.

Scott McTominay (5/10):

Didn’t do much aside from a couple of distance shots which missed the target.
