Messi’s wife Antonella Rocuzzo gave birth to their third son, Ciro, in March of this year. The couple is parents to three boys together.

Rocuzzo, 30, shared a photo of Ciro on Instagram on Sunday. Ciro resembles his father Lionel a lot, especially in his early years.

The 31-year-old has been married to Antonella for more than 11 years and is the father of two sons, Thiago, 5, and Mateo, 2.

Mateo resembles his father exactly, just like Ciro.

The star player for Barcelona, Lionel Messi, has scored eight goals in nine games across all competitions to start the La Liga season well.

Messi, though, was unexpectedly left off the field for his team’s 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night.

The Argentinean maestro came off the bench to provide Munir El Haddadi with the crucial assist to guarantee a share of the spoils.

Following the game, Ernesto Valverde, the manager of Barcelona, defended his choice to start without Messi.

He said: “When I make the decision, I think about what’s best for my team and for my club.

“I always do that before playing games, I can’t do it afterwards or rewind.

“Fans can decide what they think is convenient, but I need to think about the best for my team.”
